inspiration & direction

Having already created a Statue of Liberty-inspired graphic in the previous season, I wanted to explore fresh, playful angles that still felt uniquely New York. This led to concepts centered around the city’s iconic street foods and everyday symbols like the NYC pigeon—capturing local flavor in a way that’s both fun and instantly recognizable.

sketching & design development

After last season’s success with my Statue of Liberty graphic, I wanted to keep the same colorful, kidult energy the client loved—while exploring new New York icons. So I turned to the city’s famous street foods and the ever-present pigeon, and thought—why not make them play baseball? It felt like a fun way to bring local character and humor into a design that still feels fresh and collectible.

To bring the playful concept to life, I ensured the colors remained vibrant and true to the visual direction. I also paid close attention to sizing accuracy so the graphics would translate well across different garment types without losing detail or impact.
