This exclusive collection was created specifically for the MLB Flagship Store in New York City, with the goal of connecting the world of baseball to the iconic spirit of NYC. Each design was crafted to reflect the city’s unique energy—making the products not only collectible but also a draw for foot traffic, encouraging fans and visitors to engage with the brand through a distinctly New York lens.
inspiration & direction
For this campaign, I wanted to take a more outside-the-box approach by linking the Statue of Liberty—one of NYC’s most iconic symbols—with MLB culture in a way that felt both playful and relatable. The goal was to create a concept that’s instantly recognizable, easy to understand, yet still clever and unexpected, capturing the spirit of the city while staying true to the sport.
sketching & design development
For this design, I focused on capturing a fun, lighthearted motion of the Statue of Liberty, inspired by the playful poses and expressions I found during my research. While adding this humorous twist, I kept the overall graphic subtle and balanced it with a 50/50 focus on bold typography, ensuring the design felt both eye-catching and wearable.
